Because Dogs Are Cute And Indiana University Is Pretty
When a review copy of Campus Canines: The Dogs of Indiana University showed up in my mailbox, I had only one question:
What took IU Press so long?!
Just released this week, Campus Canines continues the publisher’s recent string of pretty little soft-cover coffee-table books of crowd-sourced photos (see: One Day in May). This one is all shining coats and wiggling butts and wet noses and fetching red bandanas and big clumsy paws—pooch “person”-ality in spades—set against golden-hour backdrops of Bloomington limestone, hardwoods, and flowers.
In fact, I think it’s safe to say the only folks capable of resisting a smile while flipping through these pages would be cat people and Boilermakers (and the latter will likely be wondering if Purdue University Press’s black-and-gold version will be ready in time for the holiday shopping season).
