Tweets of the Week: Debby Knox Edition
More than three decades of important interviews, exclusives, and TV-ready hair will come to a close on Nov. 26 when WISH-TV’s lead female anchor, Debby Knox, signs off for the last time. The veteran broadcaster has more than 33 years of experience covering news both local and international, with her sit-down interviews including President Barack Obama (scroll to the end here to see that 2011 interview), Hillary Clinton, Mikhail Gorbachev, and many more luminaries and leaders. Only Mike Ahern, who retired from WISH-TV in 2004, beats out Knox in terms of longevity at the station, which says she is the longest-serving female TV anchor in Central Indiana history. She currently presides over the station’s newscasts at 6, 10, and 11 p.m. and maintains that she may very well “reinvent” what retirement looks like.
