Three Hoosier Connections to Taylor Swift
The pop singer makes a stop at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in support of her album 1989, which is probably the last time Indy hosted a show as packed as this one will be.
1. She was in South Bend to see her brother, Austin, graduate from Notre Dame in May.
2. Swift and John Mellencamp might be related. Her grand-mother, Marjorie Moehlenkamp, has ancestors who hail from the same part of Germany as Mellencamp’s great-great-great-grandfather, Johann Christian Moehlenkamp.
3. Swift’s favorite author is John Green, whom she recently called when she found out the feeling is mutual.
