The Hot List 11.15.13

Soul Man
Kristofer Bowman of The Inventorialist antiquities shop has been nurturing emerging local designers of late. His newest discovery is Jack Heinz Leather Co. (pictured). Mark Williams, a 2012 Ball State grad, handmakes wallets, eyeglass cases, and notebook covers with hand-healed seams. “They harken back to the fine wallets in our grandfathers’ pockets,” Bowman says. So do the prices, just $45 to $85 per item. 715 Dorman St., Thurs.–Sun only, theinventorialist.com.
Bundles of Baubles
Starting Monday, Nov. 18, 8 Fifteen will turn about one-third of its store into a Chan Luu Pop-Up Show, featuring 800 pieces from the line known for combining semi-precious stones and leather cords. Pop by this Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday to talk to a rep about the holiday collection. The temporary boutique will remain open through Nov. 30. 815 E. 65th St., 317-253-1234, 8fifteen.com.
Jam Session
Hot off the machines that make Indiana-pride t-shirts: a Pacers/Beatles mashup from Naptown Tees that says “John. Paul George. Ringo.” Like the team’s record, it’s perfect. We’d wear it eight days a week. $20 online
