Schuman’s website, TheSartorialist.com, is often credited with starting the online street-look movement, one way the world of couture has become accessible in the Internet age. Since 2005, he has posted portraits of people whose outfit and spirit catch his attention in Paris, Milan, Tokyo, and other diverse places. The blog now attracts around 12 million views a month, and it has turned Schuman, a fashion marketer in his pre-Sartorialist life, into an internationally respected arbiter of personal flair.

Celebrity chefs Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert promulgated their culinary wisdom upon the Hoosier state last Thursday, stopping at Indiana University’s Bloomington campus on their “Good vs. Evil” tour.

Fountain Square’s new Venezuelan restaurant American Empanadas (1026 Virginia Ave., 317-644-0509) serves a variety of empanadas and arepas, featuring traditional options as well as items with a creative twist. The empanadas are made with traditional dough that co-owner Angelica Folkerts likens to that of a corndog, only less sweet. Made from white corn powder, the dough offers a nice contrast to slightly salty filings such as barbecued pork and 3-way chili. Dessert empanadas include a popular banana-chocolate version.

Place an order at the Wilson Football Factory and watch a heap of leather pass through several hands as it transforms into a game ball. 

Today staff and volunteers careened down the Super Bowl Village ZipLine, which will open to the public tomorrow after the Super Bowl Village opening ceremony at 3 p.m.
