Swoon List: Stella, Salt On Mass, And More
The five things we’re craving this week — fill up on these delicious dishes in this week’s Swoon List.
The smoked butternut squash tartine at Stella (611 East St., 317-685-2550). The layers of flavor build on each other, with the sweetness of the squash and roasted carrots contrasting nicely against crispy leeks and the pop of goat cheese.
Light, crispy yucca fries at Livery (720 N. College Ave., 317-383-0330). They’re perched over warm Spanish soubise—basically onion gravy— and topped with melting chihuahua cheese.
Ixca Mexican Kitchen (5537 E. Washington St., 317-986-4154) dishes up this bright tomatillo soup made with tomatillo-jalapeño broth, cream, onions, queso fresco, tomatoes, and crispy chicken taquitos that are resting on the side of the soup.
The chicken liver tart at Crispy Bird (115 E. 49th St., 317-744-0000), served slightly cooled with an herb salad on top.
The key lime cheese cake at Salt on Mass (505 Mass Ave., 317-638-6565), decorated with fresh raspberries, white chocolate, and green-tea whipped cream. It’s not too sweet and not too tart.
