The Feed: Gallery Pastry Shop, Black Acre Brewing, And More

This week’s roundup of Indy’s hottest dining news.

Black Acre Brewing (5529 Bonna Ave., 317-207-6266) is in the delivery game now, and they’ve priced their delivery areas with minimum purchases. Eastsiders can get delivery with a minimum purchase of $25, from I-70 to the north loop of 465 is a $50 minimum, and westsiders can get their grub delivered with a minimum $100 purchase. And yes, that does include growlers and six-packs.

Kimbal Musk, restaurateur and owner of Mass Ave’s Hedge Row Bistro, and the former owner of Next Door American Eatery, is accused of withholding emergency funds for employees of his Next Door restaurants. In a Huffington Post article, former employees claim to have contributed to the organization’s Family Fund, which was established to help in times of crisis. When COVID-19 hit and the restaurants closed, the funds weren’t available to those laid off.

Condado Tacos (838 Broad Ripple Ave., 463-206-2768; 530 Massachusetts Ave., 317-222-5999) is offering no-contact pickup of “Bud Boxes,” a huge box of south-of-the-border goodies you can share with your coworkers (who also double as your family). They’ve also set up a program where you can buy a Bud Box for healthcare workers every Taco Tuesday.

Gallery Pastry Shop (1101 E. 54th St., 317-820-5526) is selling a new “Lunchbox” option with a croissant, house jam, and an option of adding some melted, broiled Trillium from Tulip Tree Creamery. They’ll also help you put together a bang-up quarantine Easter dinner, with whole brined chickens, quiches, coffee cakes and of course, dessert. Click here to see all your Easter takeout options.

Lincoln Lane Coffee Co. (516 Lincoln St., 317-737-1537) has reopened with curbside pickup only. Call ahead to order you local coffee and pastries, and the staff will jet them out to your car when you pull up.

Not only is Black Circle Brewing (2201 E. 46th St., 317-828-7068) offering delivery, but for an extra buck, you can have your food and beer delivered by two of Black Circle’s favorite house characters: Dead Ed or Kendra Stone to bring your food to your door in full costume and full drag, respectively. Make sure to tip these hardworking performers a little extra.

Praise be, pizza lovers, because Greek’s Pizza (1601 Columbia Ave., 317-602-6833) has reopened with new hours (Thursday – Sunday, 4 p.m.– 9:30 p.m.) for delivery and curbside pickup. Their staff is limited, so have some patience—it’s worth it for that perfect pie.
