Your restaurant community (and every other community) is suffering, but there are so many ways you can help. Governor Holcomb announced the official closure of bars, theaters, and restaurants for table service, but nearly all of your favorites are reconfiguring to offer delivery services. We’ll keep you updated on this page with all restaurant-adjacent COVID-19 news.

Grocery/Market

Goose the Market is offering no-contact delivery for everything from prepared foods to groceries. Go to its website, place your order, and they’ll drop it off with zero human interaction. Additionally, Smoking Goose is encouraging patrons to shop their stores for “future fun” options. While gift cards are one option, they indicate that Goose the Market is offering tickets for hands-on art events that include delicious menus: dessert buffets, bottomless wine for grown up events, ice cream sundae bars for kids’ events, grand cheese & charcuterie platters, and more. 

Jam maker Home Ec Preserves has teamed up with Blue Mind Roasting and Lick Ice Cream to offer free delivery of all three brands. All you have to do is send Home Ec Preserves your order via DM on Facebook or Instagram. They will total it all up and give you a delivery date, and you can pay via Venmo or Square.

In order to comply with government restrictions, The Indy Winter Farmers Market has ceased operation for the remainder of the season. However, in its place, organizers have founded a People With a Purpose Fund, which is intended to directly help mitigate financial fallout from the recent and ongoing developments of COVID-19. Another delivery option, Tyner Pond Farms offers free delivery up to 70 miles away for their grass-fed beef, pasture-raised pork and poultry, and all-natural lamb.

Turchetti’s Butcher Shop & Marketplace is still butchering whole local animals and offering quality meats for free pickup and delivery. Details found online.

Bartenders and servers are going to suffer the hardest during this time, but one enterprising soul has compiled an updating list of service worker Venmo accounts. Use the list to drop your favorite bartender the few bucks you would if you had stopped by for a bevy.

Buy a meal for first responders and healthcare workers. Cunningham Restaurant Group offers a Thank you Meal Pack of 10 at-cost lunches for the nearest hospital. Soupremacy set up Feed the Front Lines, and City Barbecue has a new Donations tab on its menu to contribute $5 toward feeding hospital workers.

Delivery

FastTrack has cut their delivery price in half in a partnership with Poke Guru. They’ll be happy to jet a fresh order of fish and veggies to your downtown hideout in just a few minutes, along with orders from Gomez BBQ, Circle City Soups, Duos, and 3 days in Paris. You can find other City Market restaurants on DoorDash, Ritual, GrubHub, and UberEats.

ClusterTruck has eliminated all delivery fees on every order, so you can get your pad thai and your burrito craving knocked out at the same time for no money. Its kitchen has never been open to the public, and since food is handed off curbside without doorknob contact on anyone’s part, it’s a safe bet for sanitization standards. After all, this is all ClusterTruck does.

Send a Friend Lasagna makes fresh lasagnas out of Indy’s Kitchen and delivers them to your or a friend’s home, with a delivery area that includes all of Indianapolis and 20 miles outside the city (including Carmel, Greenwood, Speedway, Brownsburg, Greenfield, etc.). 

Coffee

Tinker Coffee is offering free delivery on all coffee orders with the code PJS, and if there’s one thing we all need right now, it’s a decent cup of coffee. Provider and Coat Check are both retooling to offer drive-up service for coffee and pastries, posting regular updates on their Instagrams.

Kaffeine Coffee is open from 7 a.m to 2 p.m. daily for your caffeine fix. They are also selling whole beans just inside their storefront in addition to their espresso offerings.

For the rest of March, Mile Square Coffee is offering curbside pickup or free delivery to buildings and offices neighboring the Indianapolis City Market. Find a menu and details on their website.

The Patachou Foundation is stepping up to the plate in a major way by tripling the daily meals they provide for food-insecure students and extending distribution through evenings and weekends with help from their IPS distribution partners. You can (and should) thank them with a donation here.

All Sun King Brewing locations have converted to pickup only where employees will deliver their full menu of beer directly to your car.
