Deborah Paul

Paul came aboard as editor of Indianapolis Monthly in 1981, rising through the ranks to become editorial director of all Emmis magazines, including Atlanta, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, Orange Coast, and Texas Monthly, which, combined, enjoy a circulation of more than 800,000. To date, she has penned 360 monthly columns in IM, and so far, has not run out of ideas. She empty-nests in Carmel with her husband, an attorney. They are the proud parents of a doctor and a lawyer and have three grandchildren, whom they enjoy spoiling.
