Sam Stall
Stall joined the Indianapolis Monthly staff in 1983 as a college intern. Hard work, perseverance, and a Borgia-esque campaign of character assassination helped him rise to the position of editor—a job he left in 2000 to become a freelancer. Besides penning “The Hoosierist” column, he has also written two dozen books on topics ranging from dog and cat care to The Three Stooges to outer space zombies. He lives in Broad Ripple with his wife, Jami, and their son, James.
