Drake and Pacers Act Up at ESPY Awards
Damn it, Lance Stephenson, we just can’t quit you.
Now a Charlotte Hornet after yesterday’s news that he’s departing from the Indiana Pacers organization, Stephenson was on full display at Wednesday night’s ESPY Awards held in Los Angeles and televised on ESPN. The event’s master of disaster ceremonies, rapper/singer/actor Drake, declared at one point that his favorite event in sports—not in the past year, mind you, but all time—was Stephenson blowing on LeBron James’s ear in the 2014 NBA Eastern Conference Finals. This led Drake to reenact the scene on Stephenson himself:
Yup, that just happened. Lance Stephenson just got Lance Stephensoned by @Drake on the Lance Cam. pic.twitter.com/uzOdfKjgrA

But Drake wasn’t done, and neither was Stephenson. Later in the program, they co-conspired to perform some dual “Lance Cam” action on Stephenson’s now-former teammate, Paul George. As he does with most things, George took it all in good-natured stride:
George looked dashing, as is his wont, and perhaps ESPN’s Michelle Beadle was overwhelmed by his good looks when she proclaimed on air that his exceptionally tall “girlfriend” was by his side when he arrived:

Oh, and some awards were handed out. Peyton Manning won for Best Record-Breaking Performance in the past year, and 2014 Indianapolis 500 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay won the ESPY for Best Driver for the second straight year. Here are more looks from the evening’s red carpet and ceremony:
