Q&A: Pauline Moffat Talks IndyFringe Favorites
Ten years of crazy performances. Do you have a favorite?
For me, there are so many. I’ve seen people come here who’ve never performed publicly before, and some of them are now famous. Brent McCoy from Blunder Construction was a farm boy. He rolled a big red ball into town, and now he rolls that big red ball around the world.
How has Indy changed since you arrived?
When I first walked down Mass Ave in 2004, it was desolate. Today, it’s thriving. So much so that it’s hard to pick what you’re going to do each weekend. I think the city is on the cusp of great things, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.
Planning anything for the anniversary?
WFYI is producing a documentary on IndyFringe that will air around the country in August. We’ll be able to say—and I love this—“the world premiere was at the downtown IMAX theater.”
