Known as the planet’s largest single-day sporting event, the 98th running of the Indianapolis 500 takes place today at 12:12 p.m. The 200-lap race, obviously one of the oldest and most prestigious events in all of motorsports. A lot happens over the course of the event’s roughly three hours, and here is your speed read about the drivers in the field and Race Day trivia:
