Hear that cheering in the distance? It’s Indy’s food-truck fanatics celebrating the launch of ClusterTruck, a delivery service that brings food-truck fare to your doorstep. Started by local entrepreneur Chris Baggott, ClusterTruck’s goal is to deliver Indy’s mobile-cuisine classics without compromising on quality or taste.
The way it works is fairly simple: ClusterTruck licenses recipes from local food trucks, which are then prepared in ClusterTruck’s kitchen by professional chefs and delivered. The participating food trucks receive a portion of the profits without the hassle of preparing the food. ClusterTruck is really a genius creation, as food trucks normally have no way of delivering their food. With that said, a few restaurants are participating as well to help add variety to ClusterTruck’s menu.
The best part? Delivery is free. That’s right—no more trying to work out how much extra cash you’ll have to factor into your delivery total.
ClusterTruck has no actual restaurant to order from. Everything is done online, and your food is delivered to you within minutes of ordering. Pure genius, friends.
To save you the time and effort of deciding which of ClusterTruck’s many mouthwatering options to order, we’ve rounded up a list of ten items that are sure to impress.
Chipotle Shrimp Tacos, $9
Taqueria Rapido
Spicy shrimp, corn salsa, and avocado cream sauce? Yes, please! Nothing cures the Monday blues like a Mexican fiesta in the middle of the day. If you’re looking to escape your everyday routine, the Korean Short Rib Tacos sound equally fabulous.
Memphis Dry Rub Wings, $10
Backstreet Wings
Smoked wings spiced with a Memphis dry rub and served with sweet and tangy barbecue sauce. Be sure to hide these bad boys from your co-workers—we doubt you’ll want to share.
Sometimes, all you really want is a good, old-fashioned sandwich. Well, you can’t get that from Bread Sled, but you can order a slew of unique between-the-bread combos. The Turkey Wrap features turkey, butter lettuce, guacamole, bacon, and pico de gallo—simply delicious.
Black Raspberry Ice Cream, $7
Graeter’s Ice Cream
A tried-and-true classic, Graeter’s Black Raspberry Ice Cream is the stuff of legend. Don’t worry, no one will judge you (much) for getting a pint of ice cream delivered.
Whatever’s on the menu at Circle City Soups, $6
Circle City Soups
A hearty bowl of soup does wonders for the soul, but sometimes you just can’t be bothered to make a whole pot of the stuff. Order a cup of soup with ClusterTruck and call it a day.
Bourbon Burger, $10
Bru Burger
Bacon, Peppercorn-Bourbon Glaze, and Horseradish Havarti. Need we say more?
Chicken Potsticker Stir Fry, $12
Noodle Caboodle
A mix of rice noodles, broccoli, bean sprout and carrot slaw, all mixed in with teriyaki sauce to make a flavorful dish. The potstickers on top add the perfect touch to this tasty meal.
Under Ground Salad, $9
Urban Grazers
Golden beets, roasted fennel, and goat cheese are just a few of the flavors that give this salad its refreshing flavor.
Sweet and Salty Pizza, $12
Pizzeria Camion
If you’re looking for out-of-the-box pizza toppings, look no further. The Sweet and Salty is topped with prosciutto and bleu cheese–date spread; may sound scary, but it’s definitely not. If new foods aren’t your thing, stick to the tomato-and-cheese margherita.
Some days, only a bigger-than-life pork tenderloin sandwich will do. Make today one of those days.
