Devour Time
January 9th marks the first day of this winter’s early Devour Downtown (pushed up because of that little event you might have heard about … The Super Bowl), and we’re closely watching restaurants post their menus. Here is what to expect from a few of the 54 restaurants participating in the $30/three-course eating frenzy that runs through Jan 22.
Goose the Market (2503 N Delaware St., 317-924-4944) has added a quartino of wine with their offering of a cheese & charcuterie board, house cured olives, and affogato dolce.
Turner’s at the Canterbury Hotel (123 S. Illinois St., 317-634-3000) is offering complimentary valet to Devour Downtowners.
The second course at R Bistro (888 Massachusetts Ave., 317-423-0312) alone could be a heartbreaker: classic beef stroganoff with buttered noodles.
Our forks are ready for Libertine‘s (38 E Washington St., 317-631-3333) housemade chorizo paella with P.E.I. mussels, Gunthorp Farms chicken, and tomato.
For carnivorous devourers, Ruth’s Chris Steak House (45 S. Illinois St., 317-633-1313) is serving up a hefty 10-ounce USDA prime ribeye.
