Swoon List: Tiger Lily, Mori Sushi, And More
Five #IMSwoon things we’re craving for carryout right now.
Sweet and tangy orange-peel chicken from Tiger Lily 2 Restaurant (7262 Fishers Crossing Dr., Fishers, 317-516-1914), Francis and Lori Wong’s beloved Korean and Chinese fusion restaurant that drew legions of fans at its now-closed West 86th Street location and reopened at its Fishers location on March 12, just days before the closure of Indiana restaurants to dine-in eating.
Golden, sweet fried-dough beignets slathered with sticky caramel sauce, one of the new carryout offerings at Baby’s (2147 N. Talbott St., 317-600-3559). A simple, comforting treat for anyone craving a taste of the State Fair.
A soothing, generous takeout bowl of tonkotsu pork-belly ramen available with a wide array of surprising fresh sushi offerings at the just-opened Mori Sushi (213 S. College Ave., 317-964-0139), which had the unfortunate luck of scheduling its debut in the former Milano Inn spot on South College the very day that Governor Holcomb closed restaurants for dining in.
Hearty and kicky red Texas chili from Old Gold Barbecue (140 S. College Ave., 317-764-3443), which is still offering its slow-smoked meats and recent additions, such as a hearty chopped brisket mashed-potato bowl for pick-up at its location in the parking lot of Metazoa Brewing Company.
The deep dish deluxe pizza from Union Jack Pub (924 Broad Ripple Ave., 317-257-4343) contains mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, green bell peppers, and yellow onions. Plenty for a family of four with lots of leftovers.
