The Feed: Apocalypse Burger, Tuttle Orchards, And More

Patachou grande dame Martha Hoover is transforming the old Crispy Bird space into Apocalypse Burger, a takeout concept selling burgers, fries, and other comfort-food items. There is no set opening date quite yet, but the 49th & Penn spot already has a sign up. The restaurant group is also reopening the Meridian-Kessler Napolese on Thursday for daily carryout between 4 and 8 p.m., offering Petite Chou family-style dinners to take and reheat every Friday, and working on a limited Cafe Patachou menu called Patachou Provisions that features classic cafe items like granola, coffee, and baked goods.

Tuttle Orchards (5717 N. 300 W., Greenfield, 317-326-2278) has opened its greenhouse up for pickup purchases, so you can start planning your kitchen garden in earnest. While there, grab some of their frozen fruit pies and jams for a little preview of fruit season.

Tinker Coffee is spicing up its lineup with the addition of golden milk and masala-chai oat milk beverages. They’ll be released in a limited run at first, and if they’re a hit, they’ll be added to the regular menu. Both are coffee-free if you’re choosing now as the time to give up caffeine like some kind of deranged netless Wallenda, or you need a gentler version of that 3 p.m. perk-up.
