50 Days of Holiday Gifts: The Pacers Jersey

THE PACERS JERSEY
The NBA scored big with the “Jingle Hoops” video (seriously, watch it) promoting its new Christmas Day Big Logo Swingman jersey, but the shirt itself was an airball—with the players, at least. All 10 teams playing on December 25 will wear it, but others—including the Pacers, one of the teams to test the style in the summer—declined the permanent uniform change. The players, it turns out, don’t really want to wear sleeves (why hide their shoulder tattoos?). But the NBA is betting that fans will prefer wearing short sleeves more than a tank, and that’s what really matters. George Hill, Paul George, and Roy Hibbert jerseys just went on sale at the Pacers Home Court store inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse. $109. 125 S. Pennsylvania St., 317-917-2755, pacersgear.com.
