Man’s Vest Friend

Dress your pooch in the Quilted Nylon Dog Jacket (top) from C Wonder and no one will be eyeing the pretty leaves this weekend. Available in navy, green, or orange, the vest has gold hardware, lining to match the brand’s jackets for women, and even little pockets. There’s also a Fair Isle sweater for pups who always steal your LL Bean catalog. Jacket, $38; sweater, $28. C Wonder, The Fashion Mall, 317-569-1431, cwonder.com. Both items available in store and online. Product descriptions include a size guide by breed.

Blast from the Past

Leave it to Indiana Landmarks to find the connection between past and present. The organization will open an Indiana Emporium pop-up shop when Indy hosts the prestigious National Preservation Conference next week. Anyone can shop there—it’s in Union Station, and who wouldn’t love a good reason to visit the gorgeous landmark? (Seriously, when was the last time you went there?) The store will serve as a temporary version of emporiums at French Lick Springs Hotel and West Baden Springs Hotel, carrying lots of books and a vintage-inspired mix of jewelry, scarves, Indiana souvenirs, and gifts. Oct. 29–Nov. 1, inside Union Station’s Illinois Street entrance.

Holiday Shopping in Style

With its new Black Friday package, The Conrad Indianapolis is making it awfully tempting to stay downtown on Thanksgiving weekend for the lighting of the Monument, Circle Centre shopping, and general holiday spirit. The nightly rate is just $139 on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29, and it includes a chair massage at the onsite Evan Todd Spa and Salon and a glass of Prosecco at Tastings, the lobby wine bar. And high-speed Internet access, if you’d rather shop online from the comfort of your plush room. 50 W. Washington St., 317-713-5000, online reservations.
