The Hot List 12.13.13

Yelp’s Totally Bazaar holiday market drew a huge crowd to Old City Hall last night—so big, you might not have been able to squeeze through to every table. But don’t worry, the holiday-market season isn’t nearly over. Here are more events where you can find upcycled-scarves galore, hip flasks, and other locally handmade treasures.

City Sidewalks, Georgia Street downtown. Dec. 13 until 9 p.m. and Dec. 14, noon–9 p.m. More info. What to buy: Dupco Recycled Cashmere, super-soft scarves and reversible fingerless gloves at prices that amount to bargains for the luxury material. Some of the infinity scarves even have the cardigan buttons remaining. Find them at Bizzy’s fashion truck.

Alternative Gift Fair, The Irving Theatre, 5505 E. Washington St. Dec. 14, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. More info. What to buy: Tom O. Reed exotic-wood cooking utensils, including the best-selling Do Everything Tool.

Get Elf’d Up holiday soiree at Chanel’s Pink Tulip, 614 Massachusetts Ave. Dec. 22, starting at 2 p.m. More info. What to buy: Get Flasky containers in a huge array of designs, like the look of reclaimed wood (above).
