Brown County’s Leaf Cam

As the weather gets cooler, leaves take on a warmer mix of colors. This transition from lush greens to varied oranges and reds can now be appreciated without venturing out into the dropping temperature.

The Brown County Leaf Cam is capturing the season change and sharing it online. The camera is perched overlooking a wide view. Observers can watch fall colors take over the trees as well as the nearby rolling hills from its vantage point.

The exact time leaves start their show is difficult to map because weather patterns vary every year. While mid-October is the prime time for the most vibrant mix of colors, leaves can start changing as early as late September.
