A century ago, Eli Lilly and Company grew one of the nation’s largest cannabis farms to supply a variety of pharmaceuticals. Why does the drug maker seem determined to conceal the details of that history?

With public opinion among Hoosiers surging in favor of legalizing marijuana and other Midwestern states taking the lead, many wonder how long the Indiana legislature can ignore the issue.

“You’re going to be shocked,” says one advocate. “I think we have a realistic chance, as long as we do a good job with the summer study. I think we can get it as early as the next General Assembly.”
