THE STORY: The still life on tattoo artist McQueen’s forearm is a reproduction of a painting by his grandfather.

THE STORY: Doan started with a pink cupcake when she and her mother worked together at The Flying Cupcake. When her mother passed away from a rare cancer, Doan filled in the half-sleeve tattoo.
