Open Door: Williams Creek Party Room

Jessica Gershman, owner of Karma Yoga, teamed up with Haus Love boutique owner Heidi Woodman to design a sleek entertainment spot at her Williams Creek pad.

Wine “Cellar”

The structure, Gershman’s own design, stores 1,000 bottles, each tagged with the wine’s peak drinking window. “It’s especially great on Sundays,” she says with a laugh.

Fireplace

Woodman made the fireplace the room’s focal point, framing it with a gorgeous slab of white marble from Santarossa Mosaic & Tile Co.

Couch

The S-shaped sofa is known as a “tete-a- tete,” the French term for a private conversation between two people. Woodman upholstered it with camel velvet from The Trade Source showroom at the Indiana Design Center.

Seats

The rich brown-and-cream color scheme is played up with animal prints.

Coffee Table

Woodman added warmth to the space with natural materials, like this wooden piece. “Modern is making a comeback, but the current spin is more functional,” she says. “We’re working organic elements into it.”

Books

“The accessorizing is just as important as the design process,” Woodman says. “It gives the room personality.”

Pillows

Each cushion is covered with a different textile. “Mixing textures is a big trend,” Woodman says. “Nothing is matchy-matchy.”

Chairs

These leather Kelly Wearstler designs inspired the room’s sexy vibe, says Gershman.
